Celebrity Encounters...

There are few people you'll ever come across who are as nostalgic as I am. I've spent a good deal of my adult life chasing moments of childhood and trying to trap them in my collections of toys and comics.
In that vein, one of my pursuits is to interact with those who have somehow impacted the cultural landscape of our world. In some cases, these are very famous individuals, and in other cases, these are people who may have little conventional fame, but have participated in events I find fascinating. This is why you will find that some of my celebrity encounters are more "celebrity" encounters, by your definition. Although I enjoy the opportunity of meeting these people, the collector in me doesn't feel complete unless I leave the encounter with a memento, by which it may be remembered. Since locking these individuals in glass cases in my collection would be frowned upon, a picture and an autograph are the next best things. It allows me to own the experience in a physical form. Despite lowering my standards to a simple autograph and picture, even this isn't always possible. This section of the site will give you a brief look into my collecting of such experiences. I've met celebrities who exceeded expectations and others who have disappointed. Either way, I'll tell you the true stories. That being said, remember that my experiences are just that... my experiences. Everyone has good and bad days, so please don't judge any of these celebrities based solely on my experiences. |
